Pre-Raphaelites

Of all the art in all the world, I think what I love the most is the Pre-Raphaelites...

Holman Hunt

Rossetti

Since 1849 the Pre-Raphaelite Movement has influenced the appreciation of art.
Millais, Rossetti and Holman-Hunt are credited as the three great founding artists.
They shared a dedication to a romantic ideal and the pursuit of the true principles of art.

Burne-Jones

 Birmingham's Edward Burne-Jones
became a pupil of Rossetti and became one of the most sought after painters in Europe.

John Everett Millais
